With this visa you can

This visa allows you to:

  • Live in Brazil up to one year
  • Work for an employer for max. three months
  • Study/ train a course for a max. of three months
  • Re-enter Brazil after traveling to other countries in South America

Things to note

You must register at the nearest federal police station within 30 days of your arrival.

If you wish to work during your stay, you must get a labour and social security booklet. This booklet is granted free of charge by the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

You will need to bring your passport and the proof of registry from the federal police in order to get this labour and social security booklet.

 

 


Conditions

  • Be a a citizen of New Zealand, France or Germany
  • Be aged between eighteen and thirty years, both inclusive, at the time of
    application;
  • Must not accompanied by dependents;
  • Posses a valid New Zealand, France or Germany passport
  • Posses a return ticket, or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket
  • Possess sufficient funds for his/her maintenance during the period of stay in
    the Federate Republic of Brazil
  • Pay the prescribed working holiday temporary visa application fee;
  • Agree to hold medical and comprehensive hospitalisation insurance for your stay in Brazil
  • Comply with any health requirements imposed by the Federative Republic of
    Brazil.

How to apply

You must apply at the Embassy of Brazil in your home country.

Bring along the supporting documents, such as your passport, bank statement, proof of travel insurance for your stay in Brazil.
