  7. Hi Maria,

I am a Canadian currently living in Canada. I’m looking to go to Mexico but can’t find any current information on a Working Holiday Visa. I’m aware of the free tourist visa for Canadians but was curious if Mexico still has the WHV for Canadians? I’ve tried calling the consulate in Vancouver and emailed but no response. Just looking for any direction or info of who I could contact or how I could apply. Thanks for your time, I look forward to hearing from you! Cheers

  8. Hello,

I am a Canadian (living in Canada) looking to get a holiday work visa or full work visa for Mexico. Is it rather straight forward to apply for without having a sponsor or job already set up? Is there any sort of temporary work visa available?
    Many thanks x

    1. Hi Chelsea,

Sorry, our website wasn’t properly updated.

You are in fact in able to apply for a working holiday visa in Mexico, which allows you to travel and work in Mexico up to one year.
      You can apply if:
      – you are between 18-30 years old,
      – have sufficient funds for your travels,
      – have a passport,
      – have health and travel insurance

You can apply for the WHV at you nearest Mexican Consulate / Embassy in Canada. You must apply in person.
Perhaps call ahead to make sure you bring along the right documents which are needed for applying for the visa.

      Hopes this helps.

      Cheers
      Maria

  9. Can people from portugal get the visa and how long those the application proces take and what are the steps?

    1. Hello,
I have a few questions about the conditions and the application process. I am right now with the working holiday visa in Canada. One point of the conditions is that it’s the first time with this visa. Does that mean just for Mexico or in generell. I know that I can’t apply a second time for this visa in Canada or also not for the visa in the other countries?
And for the application, does it mean I can go to the next mexican consulate in Canada to get the visa or just in Germany (my homecountry)

Thank you for taking the time
