  1. I am 25 years old and a Japanese citizen, however I am not currently residing in Japan.
Can I still apply for the WHV outside of Japan? I am eligible to apply based on all other requirements.

Is there an option to mail in or email the application and fee payment?

  2. Hi All, now that the UK is not part of the EU does anyone know if a UK resident can apply for a working holiday visa?
I am going to work in hungary and would like for my partner to come with me and be able to work whilst we’re both out there but it looks like he needs a job offer with a Hungarian employer to apply for working permit or visa. This looks like it could be the next best thing for us. Any advice or knowledge on this would be really appreciated!

  3. Hello 🙂
I am an Australian who is hoping to live for 1 year in Budapest as a digital nomad but I am in my 40’s. Are there any options available to me with a working visa?

  4. Hi just wondering once the visa has been approved is there a time frame that you must enter? For eg If my working holiday visa was approved this week could I choose to enter Hungary in 6-8 months time and still have my one year there? Thanks.

  5. Hi there. I have Chinese friends who are in Hungary with a Working Holiday Scheme visa. I am wondering if they would be able to travel to Denmark as tourists within the one year period? Is there a limit to how much they can travel around europe within that year? Thank you so much.

  6. Hi, I am Australian, living in the UK and hoping to apply for a Working Holiday Visa for Hungary to undertake a short period of employment as a journalist based with a company in Budapest. I believe I am able to fulfil most of requirements, however I am concerned about being able to get to an embassy as most are closed in the UK and aboard, and the current lockdown means it is impossible to travel.

Is there a way to apply for this visa online?

    Thank you,
    Penny

    1. Hi Penny, I was wondering how you went with obtaining a visa as I am also an Aussie in the UK looking at getting a Hungarian visa. Did you manage to get one?
I hope it all went smoothly for you!

  7. Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible as an Australian citizen to apply for the Hungarian Working Holiday Visa whilst I am already in Hungary as a visitor?
    Many thanks,
    sky

    1. Hi Sky,

Yes it is. Please visit the Australian Embassy who can help you with applying for the visa.
The Embassy of Australia is closed in Hungary, so you will have to travel to Vienna to apply for this visa, which is only a short train ride from Budapest.

    1. Hi Jonathan,

Sorry there is no working holiday visa agreement between Mexico and Hungary.
I hope you find another country to work and travel in.

      Cheers,
