5 Simple Steps to Apply for a Working Holiday Visa in Singapore

Singapore offers two different working holiday visa. The Work Holiday Program is for undergraduates or graduates of a University in the participating countries(beside Australia) to work and explore Singapore for 6 months. 

The Working Holiday Visa Program is a unique program for undergraduates or graduates of a University from Australia to work and travel in Singapore for up to one year. 

 


Participating countries

Singapore has made Working Holiday visa agreements with the following 9 participating countries:

With this visa you can

This visa allows you to:

  • Live in Singapore for 6 months (12 months for Australians)
  • Work for an employer for 6 months (However, not within the following industries; medicine, law, dentistry, pharmacy or architecture)

Things to note

Note: The Work Holiday Program has a capacity of 2,000 applicants at any time.


Conditions

  • You are aged 18 to 25 years old (18-30 years old for Australians).
  • You are an undergraduate or graduate of a university in Australia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States.
  • Your university is recognised by the government of the respective nine countries or regions.
  • For undergraduates: you have been a resident and a full-time student of the university for at least 3 months before applying for the pass.
  • For graduates: you are a resident and a full-time student of the university.

How to apply

  • Normal processing time: 3 weeks
  • Visa fee: $175 SGD
  1. Collect the required supporting documents. Find the list here
  2. Submit an application here
  3. Get the Working Holiday Pass issued
  4. Register finger prints and photo (If required)
  5. Receive the Working Holiday Pass card
